A DREAM ROOTED IN EDUCATION, SERVICE AND HOPE

The story of Heritage Public School began with a dream nurtured by our Founder, Mr. Shyam Sundar Sharma, since his childhood—a dream to serve society through education and to create opportunities for children who aspire to learn but may be held back by financial limitations. This vision was deeply shaped by his own childhood experience. When Mr. Sharma began his education, his family faced financial difficulties, and his father struggled to support his studies. At a crucial stage in his life, a helping hand enabled him to continue his education. That act of kindness left a lasting impression on him and shaped a belief that would guide his life.

Education has the power to transform lives, and no deserving child

should be deprived of it because of financial circumstances.”

THE BEGINNING OF HERITAGE PUBLIC SCHOOL

In 2010, Mr. Shyam Sundar Sharma received the opportunity to transform his long-cherished dream into reality. With a vision to make a meaningful contribution to the field of education, he established the Hemlata Heritage Foundation.Under the aegis of the Foundation, Heritage Public School was established at Bharalumukh and Gotanagar, Maligaon, Guwahati, beginning its journey with approximately 600 students.

What began as one person’s dream soon became a shared mission. The trust, encouragement and unwavering support of parents played a vital role in the growth of the institution. Their faith strengthened the school’s commitment to providing quality education and creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment for every student.

2013 | A NEW MILESTONE

The school’s commitment to structured and quality education was strengthened in 2013, when Heritage Public School received CBSE affiliation at the Secondary Level, up to Class X. This milestone marked an important stage in the school’s development and provided a strong foundation for its continued academic growth.

2021 | EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES

Continuing its journey of growth and excellence, the school achieved another significant milestone in 2021, when it received CBSE affiliation at the Senior Secondary Level, up to Class XII, with Science, Commerce and Arts streams. This expansion enabled students to continue their academic journey within the same institution while choosing educational pathways aligned with their interests, abilities and aspirations.

CONTINUING THE LEGACY

What began with a modest community of around 600 students has grown into an institution with a strong presence in the educational landscape of the North-East. The journey of Heritage Public School has been shaped by determination, trust, continuous growth and an unwavering commitment to education.

The vision that inspired its foundation remains at the heart of everything we do—to make quality education a meaningful force in the lives of young people and to create an environment where every student is encouraged to discover their potential and pursue their aspirations.

Today, Heritage Public School strives to be among the leading educational institutions in the North-East, carrying forward a legacy built on the belief that education is about more than academic achievement. It is about empowering individuals, nurturing values, building confidence and shaping responsible citizens.
