CREATING A SAFE, RESPECTFUL AND RESPONSIBLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY
Rules are an essential part of creating an environment where every student can learn with confidence, interact respectfully and grow responsibly. Our guidelines are designed to promote discipline, safety, mutual respect and a positive school culture. Students are expected to understand and follow the rules of the school, while parents and guardians are encouraged to support these values at home and in the wider school community.
General Guidelines
- Students are expected to maintain regular attendance and punctuality and arrive at school on time.
- Students should come to school in the prescribed school uniform, neat, clean and appropriate for the day.
- Students must carry the required books, notebooks, stationery and other learning materials according to the school schedule.
- Courtesy, respect and appropriate behaviour are expected towards teachers, staff members, classmates and visitors.
- Students should maintain discipline in classrooms, corridors, laboratories, library, playgrounds and other school facilities.
- Mobile phones, electronic devices and other items restricted by the school should not be brought to school without prior permission.
- Students are expected to use respectful and appropriate language and refrain from behaviour that may cause harm, discomfort or disruption to others.
- Bullying, intimidation, harassment, discrimination, fighting or any form of inappropriate conduct is not permitted.
- Students must follow safety instructions and the directions of teachers and authorised school personnel at all times.
- Parents/guardians are requested to follow the school’s procedures regarding communication, meetings, attendance, transport and student pickup/drop-off.
A strong school community is built through cooperation between students, parents, teachers and staff. We encourage everyone to uphold the values of Heritage Public School and work together to ensure that the school remains a place where every child feels safe, respected, supported and inspired to learn.
